The Sun (August 2004)

Bookmark and Share

Shadows flee in fear
From golden rays of light
As trees stretch arms out wide
In rebirth and delight.
Winter’s depression no longer
Has hold upon this land,
As spring has come with new blossoms
And growth touched by Heaven’s hand.

The sun is bright and avenging
As children return to play,
Their laughter ringing, singing
From day unto charming day,
Giving rosen breath to spring.
The presence of life is thrilling
As it robs Winter’s cruel chilling
With its sun.
