I have had an interest in digital artwork since I was young, when I fell in love with things like Mainframe Entertainment’s ReBoot and Pixar’s first Toy Story. In my teens, I crossed paths with the art pieces on Epilogue, some of which were created digitally, and I took even greater interest in the technique. The concept of creating designs and art pieces in a completely different medium instantly appealed to me. Today, I work mostly width Adobe Photoshop, creating highly-detailed photo manipulations or conceptual, digital paintings.
My love for photography began in 2003, when my parents gave me my first digital camera for Christmas. I’ve since taken over 6,000 photographs with that camera and have found my photographic passion to be people in their more natural states. I also take pictures of many landscapes, from the south and west of the United States to Melbourne, Australia, where I now live. I use a digital SLR Canon camera to take pictures.
When I began really using the Internet in 1997, web design was still thoroughly about clunky programming techniques and working graphical design into areas that weren’t meant to hold it. Nevertheless, I found it fascinating and have not let go of it since. Even after all the changes in web design that have occurred in ten years, I still find web design to be fun and a unique and challenging line of creation. I have created dozens of my own sites, many versions of this site, and worked with a number of clients.
Writing is something I have always been drawn to, and I have written creatively since a very young age. I enjoy and write in poetic and short story styles that consist of strong imagery and a number of themes, from human understandings of right and wrong, to freedom, love, and more.
While traditional artwork is not my strongest creative area, I still really enjoy it and have been dabbling in it since I was a child. When creating traditional pieces, I often draw using charcoals or paint using oils. A number of my traditional pieces are also mixed media works.
