Back in March 2007, I took a photo of a friend (also seen here, in a similar scenario), while we were at Glenferrie Station in Hawthorn, Victoria, Australia. When I printed the photo, I sketched a close-to-identical scene on a canvas I had. Unfortunately, university kept me from painting for a long time, and I’m only now, in mid-2009, getting to it. I’m not even sure I will finish it before my move back to the States! At any rate, here’s what I’ve done so far:

It’s awesome you’ve been able to get back to this after so long! I have such a hard time picking up old, half-drawn things. Even if I’ve just left it for a day or two.

The sky’s looking great so far. I can’t wait to see it finished!
