Like most people, I’m a music lover, and I especially love finding the more obscure artists. Below, I’ve compiled a list of seven creative indie music videos. All of the artists featured in this entry produced their music under independent music labels (though some do have major label distribution setups). These are not just artists that “sound indie.” They actually are.

An interesting thing to note before watching the videos below is that most of them are within the same sort of genres, folk or alternative. It’s more a matter that it can be pretty hard to find indie music videos for genres outside of these. I think more people tend to search out indie music in these genres, for whatever reason, and so it is more viable for artists to be independent in them and actually do well enough to warrant music video making. However, as you’ll see, many of the videos aren’t what mainstream labels have typically trained us to be used to; many use animation, rather than studios or on-location shots. This undoubtedly is a way to save a few bucks.

So, your taste may not be for the styles below, but you must admit that these are some pretty creative animations and short films. Lastly, if you do like the music, consider buying some. I’ve given you links to make it easy!
