One Australian’s Take on America (Warning: many fallacies, wtf.)

Date: August 27, 2008

“It might seem to be a small thing, but we risk losing our culture and identity as Australians and becoming mini-yanks [by having less of our own media]. I don’t know about you, but I certainly don’t want to live in a society driven by crime, low morals, consumerism and all things superficial and inhabited by two groups - the obese McCivilians or the plastic fantastic nipped and tucked, bulimic set.” –Carolina Peters in 2005, commenting on “The Sydney Morning Herald” feature, Why don’t we watch Australian TV shows?
