Artist Spotlight Friday: Damien Mason

Damien Mason is a 27-year-old illustrator, designer and craft artist out of Adelaide, South Australia. I chose Mason for this week’s spotlight for a lot of reasons. I really enjoy the unique style he presents in his work, from the choice of dreamy, pastel colors, to the minimalism, but what really caught my attention was his one of a kind imagination. Mason says on his website that children’s illustration is a passion of his, and it really shines through. At every turn through his work, I felt like I was back in the worlds of bookish, childhood fantasies. Here are a few samples of Mason’s works, so you can see what I mean! Damien Mason is a bit of a jack of all trades, and so you can support him and his work in a number of ways. You can firstly visit his website or RedBubble account, where he features his illustrations, sketches, animations, flash designs and crafts. On RedBubble, he sells prints of his work and also some clothing featuring lovable monsters.
