This is the last real-time posting you’ll see from me for the next couple of weeks, at least. My move to Melbourne has begun, and I have lots of packing and sorting to do before I leave on Tuesday.

Josie Crosby, a singer and songwriter currently living in Rhode Island, is an acoustic folk artist with a gutsy attitude that presents itself clearly through her voice. She’s reminiscent of the likes of Ani DiFranco and Over the Rhine. If you like a sort of raw edge to folk music, then you’ll like Josie Crosby.

As they say, hindsight is 20/20. We make mistakes in life, and see them as such only once we step back–when we see them in truth. They’re ugly things, disfigured and dark, but they have brought us to where we are now, for better or worse. Mistakes are oft borne from good intentions. Are good intentions enough, though–enough to make up for our mistakes? Is “trying our best,” the best we can do?

Though the CSS Reboot is now long over, I am still tweaking things on this site as I find time. Since I’ll have to live with this design for a while–which I’m shockingly still “okay” with–I figure I can satisfy my semi-obsessive ways by improving small things here and there. The about page and poetry page received major updates over the weekend.

I was humored to find that though I’ve been planning this MP3 feature for two weeks now, the Celtic and world music group Green Man is already receiving some other recognition by having a top track in GarageBand’s world music section. They deserve all that and much, much more.
