MP3 Thursday: Robin Wynn

Date: June 29, 2006

Robin Wynn
There are many good singers in the world, and just as many mediocre singers who can pull off a good sound thanks to their style. Robin Wynn, on the other hand, has the advantage of both, possessing a great, clear voice and an upbeat style that incorporates a multitude of instruments and thoughtful lyrics.

Wynn is best described in the opening of her biography: “Singing since she could speak, the Virginia native creates a mix of rock, pop, and folk that grabs the ear and goes straight to the heart of every person in the room.” Robin Wynn performs in recent years with the help of backup vocalist and guitarist, Mark Goldstein. Individuals who like Sheryl Crow and perhaps a little Bonnie Raitt will probably like Robin Wynn, too.

Special Thanks

I’m currently in the process of moving to Melbourne, Australia, so my close friend Kavita is kindly posting my pre-written entries on a daily basis. Without her, this site would be on hiatus until I get settled in and have net access again! To support her, why not check out her comics?

MP3 Thursday Information

If you’re a musician and would like to have your music featured on MP3 Thursday, contact me at leliathomas@gmail.com with a website I can visit for more information on you or your band. Anyone, musician or not, is welcome to submit suggestions, also. Note: There must be at least one free and legal MP3 for users to download from a website for me to feature them on MP3 Thursday.
