- The worst bill you’ve never heard of is an unfortunately accurate title for this website’s journal entry. If you live in the States and enjoy your current rights when it comes to digital music, I strongly suggest you read this. This is just one of many bills that have come up, under our noses, to undermine our rights as citizens. (via Jarkolicious)
- At Fo.rtuito.us, you “sign up and are given a friend chosen randomly. Next, you have 4 days to get to know this person before you are asked to make a decision whether to keep them as your friend. Once you have made that choice, you are given another friend, chosen at random once again.” Fun! (via TechCrunch)
- If you’re anything like I am, when you read Paradox of the Perfect Girl, you’ll find yourself nodding and thinking of people you know, perhaps even yourself. “While overachieving girls are knocking on the front doors of America’s best colleges, admission officers are letting their slacker brothers slip in the back door.”
- Sometimes it’s good to remember we’re quite small in the grand scheme of creation. Hop on over to Annika’s Journal, where people have been discussing the most amazing things they’ve ever seen.
- U.S. tax law sends expatriates reeling is another law that has been passed under the American nose. Being someone who plans to live outside of the United States, be that in Australia or elsewhere, I’m especially ticked off about this law. “”The sudden, and retroactive, imposition by the U.S. Congress last week of much higher taxes on Americans living abroad has left individuals and companies scrambling to regroup…” (via Scott again)
- This is an old thing to me, but I was shocked to see how few people have linked to it (and therefore don’t know about it?). Make Your Own South Park Character, dammit.
