MP3 Thurs: O’er the Dreaming Earth

Date: May 25, 2006

O'er the Dreaming EarthThis week’s feature is of O’er the Dreaming Earth (reference to a Percy Bysshe Shelley poem?), a currently one man band of ambient and world music.

Coming out of Fort Collins, Colorado, O’er the Dreaming Earth’s music can best be described as trance-like, experimental ambience. You’ll also find hints of jazz sizzling beneath the electronica, as is the case in the song “Climb to Midnight.” Light, ethereal vocals make the music easy to connect to, unlike a number of electronica artists.

Anyone who likes to occasionally chillout to the sounds of Massive Attack, Delerium or Thievery Corporation should give O’er the Dreaming Earth a solid try.
