This piece, which is a photo manipulation, consists of eight different photographs. It is a combination of Celtic and Native American mythology, both of which I have always fascinated me. The Native American influence comes from the Algonquin Indians, who believed in a Great Spirit, the Gitche Manitou, who was a mysterious force in the spiritual realm. The Celtic influence is found in the stag antlers on the female form. Cernunnos was a stag-horned god in the ancient Celtic faiths. He was a nature god found in Gaul, parts of Britain and Italy, and was associated with produce and fertility.
