Mountain rivers rush
With the echo of wolfen cries
Beating upon this spiral—
Spiral path of life.
I have seen the eagle soar
And felt the woodland rain.
I have heard the wolfen cry
Among eternal plains.
This place where mankind began—
Begins again upon the path.
Circles of circles, knots to knots,
This beautiful cry of life.
I have seen yon babes born
And heard a man speak to Death.
I have heard the wolfen cry,
A harmony of Time’s breath.
Time—she will take us all
To our graves far below
But our souls will again crawl
The beaten path of life.
I have seen mountain rivers rush
And heard the echo of wolfen cries
Beating upon my spiral—
Spiral path of life.
